Mo.dern Communication Technologies and the New World Information Order
Abstract
Developments taking place in the media industry are changing the newspaper reporter. Technologies available to him include banks of computer terminals, fax machines, video recorders and other computerdriven devices. Production and distribution of information is expanding at an extraordinary speed and offering challenging opportunities in the newer electronic media. The evolving electronics-based media environment promises more creative, rewarding careers since Guttenberg's printing press was developed in the fifteenth century.
